The slime aka "I the network".

Now take the USA and put in in a jar or petri dish. No kidding, this is bloody serious ! Mark cities and other landmarks and then pour some slime mold over it: yek !! It turns out the stuff is highly intelligent and comes up with optimal solutions for the USA high way and interstate network and shortest path problems and efficiency trade offs. There is a chance that it might even replace Belgian politics but wait a moment: let us never insult the slime.
